If you're looking for a transformer supplier in China, the first question usually shouldn't be which supplier is the biggest. It should be which supplier is the right fit for your project.

For some buyers, going directly to a large manufacturer with a local sales office and after-sales team is genuinely the best option. For others — particularly contractors, distributors and private-sector buyers sourcing standard equipment outside major tender projects — a different supply model can make more sense. This article explains how to tell which situation you're in, and where DailyENS fits.

If a major manufacturer already has a local team in your market, that may be your best option

Some large transformer manufacturers maintain local sales offices, technical staff and after-sales support in the bigger markets — typically the larger economies where transformer demand is high enough to justify a permanent local presence. If you're in one of those markets, buying in bulk, and the manufacturer's local team is responsive, going direct can make sense.

Where that changes is everywhere else — which, in practice, is most of the markets we serve. If you're comparing transformer suppliers in China more broadly, the more useful question usually isn't which factory is largest, but whether a given supplier's production model, documentation and service structure actually match your order.

Built at our own factory in China, exported by DailyENS

Finished transformers at DailyENS's own manufacturing base in China

Our transformers are built at our own factory in China, Henan Wanjin Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd., in operation since 2006. The factory handles production, routine testing before shipment and warranty. DailyENS, founded in 2022 and grown out of the factory's export business, handles export quotations, contracts, documentation, shipment coordination and after-sales communication. DailyENS orders receive guaranteed production priority, with a current capacity of 300+ transformer units per month. You can see inside our factory for a look at the production line, winding and testing process.

When a project needs a specification, voltage class or product category outside our own manufacturing scope, we also draw on a wider network of manufacturing partners across China to provide a suitable solution. In these cases, DailyENS manages the order and stays involved in specification matching, quality verification and shipment coordination, while production is carried out independently by the partner factory. Either way — our own base or our wider network — every equipment issue is DailyENS's responsibility to resolve.

When DailyENS may be the right supplier for your project

Local coverage rarely extends past the largest markets. Manufacturers set up local teams where the volume justifies it — usually a handful of the biggest economies in a region. In many of the countries we serve, a "local sales office" simply doesn't exist, or exists in the capital and doesn't meaningfully cover contractors elsewhere in the country. If you can't actually get a responsive quote from a local team, the theoretical advantage of going direct doesn't apply to you.

Large manufacturers often structure production and sales around higher-volume, tender-oriented projects. A standard, off-tender order for a handful of units doesn't always get the same commercial priority as a large-scale or tender-driven project. Off-tender orders like yours are the core of what we do, not a smaller item alongside bigger ones, and our regular production time for standard quantities is about 15 days up to 630 kVA and about 25 days above 630 kVA, counted from drawing confirmation.

Going direct to one manufacturer also means being locked into that manufacturer's specification and price. A local sales team represents one factory's product line and pricing structure. With DailyENS, you're working directly with our own manufacturing base for standard specifications, and — where your requirement falls outside that — with a network we manage on your behalf, rather than being limited to a single factory's number as the only option available to you.

A leaner commercial structure can also reduce unnecessary overhead. Maintaining local offices, sales teams and service infrastructure requires significant ongoing investment. For buyers in markets where those resources are limited or not directly accessible to you anyway, paying for that structure may not always translate into a practical benefit. As a reference point, our current ex-factory price for a standard 200kVA oil-immersed transformer is approximately USD 2,215 per unit — equipment cost only, before freight, duties, installation or any local services. Use it as a starting point to compare against any quotation, and ask what it includes.

One order can also cover switchgear, and solar if you need it. A manufacturer's local sales team typically sells that manufacturer's transformers only — not RMUs, LV panels, or solar equipment from a different supplier. RMUs and LV switchgear panels can be quoted and shipped alongside your transformer order, and if your project also needs solar equipment, we supply that too — see our solar systems page for equipment reference pricing.

Who DailyENS is likely a good fit for

Where we're probably not the right fit

If any of these apply to you, we'd rather tell you upfront than take an order we can't properly fulfill.

"No local office means no one to call if something goes wrong"

This is the fair question that sits behind the price advantage, and it deserves a direct answer rather than a general reassurance.

Three things address it. First, verification happens before shipment, not after a problem shows up: every transformer is supplied with its factory routine test report, covering the applicable routine tests for that unit, such as winding resistance, voltage ratio and vector group, short-circuit impedance and load loss, no-load loss and no-load current, insulation resistance, and dielectric (withstand voltage) tests. If visiting isn't practical, we also arrange a live video walkthrough of the factory, production progress videos for your specific order, and video of the test and inspection process before shipment.

Second, our own team is embedded in our manufacturing base's day-to-day operations — the people managing your production are people we work with directly, not a factory we simply placed an order with. If an issue comes up after delivery, we start with remote video guidance; if that can't resolve it, we can arrange for an engineer to travel to your site (the customer covers travel costs — flights, accommodation, local transport, meals and a field allowance, confirmed with you before travel is arranged). If our engineer confirms a manufacturing defect that can't be corrected on site, and it's within the 1-year warranty period, we replace the unit at no cost.

Third, we don't build this business around one-off shipments. Beyond individual orders, we build long-term distribution and installation partnerships in the countries we serve, so a warranty issue means working with a partner who has an ongoing reason to resolve it — not restarting from zero with a factory that has moved on to the next order.

Built to IEC/GB standards — and honest about what we don't do

Our distribution-class transformers and switchgear are manufactured to applicable IEC/GB design and manufacturing standards, whether produced at our own manufacturing base or through our wider network. Where applicable, transformer designs are supported by the relevant type-test and design verification documentation maintained by the manufacturer.

What we don't currently provide is a fresh, project-specific type-test report or witnessed certification package for individual orders, which is what formal tenders typically require as part of their bid documentation.

We don't currently handle tender or public-procurement projects. If your project requires that kind of project-specific type-test documentation or formal bid certification, we tell you that upfront rather than taking an order we can't properly fulfill. We'd rather say no to that order than promise documentation we can't deliver.

Production, in numbers

Production time is counted from drawing confirmation. This is production/ex-factory time, not door-to-door delivery. Ocean freight and customs clearance are separate and vary by destination — we'll confirm a full timeline as part of your quote.

Markets we have experience serving

DailyENS currently works with transformer and switchgear buyers across Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Cote d'Ivoire, Uganda, Ethiopia, Ghana, Zambia, Mozambique, Cameroon, Senegal, Zimbabwe, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Sudan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. We understand the common documentation, logistics and import requirements that can affect transformer shipments in these markets. Where project-specific customs requirements apply, we confirm them with you before shipment rather than assuming the same process applies everywhere.

DailyENS isn't the right supplier for every transformer project. But for contractors and distributors sourcing standard equipment outside major tender projects, our supply model is built around what tends to matter most for that kind of order: our own manufacturing base for direct control over quality and priority, a wider network to extend that when needed, predictable production time, competitive China-source pricing, and verification before shipment rather than after.

Frequently asked questions

Does the $2,215 reference price include shipping, duties or installation?

No — it's the ex-factory equipment price for a standard 200kVA oil-immersed transformer only. Freight, duties, customs clearance and installation are separate and depend on your destination. Ask for a full breakdown as part of your quote.

Do you handle tender or public-procurement projects?

Not currently. Our pricing and production time are built around standard, off-tender orders. If your project requires project-specific type-test documentation or formal bid certification, we're likely not the right fit — happy to say so upfront.

What payment terms do you offer?

T/T deposit with balance before shipment, or L/C at sight. We don't currently offer open account or extended payment terms. In some markets, we may also be able to accept payment in RMB where practical and compliant with local banking arrangements — ask us about your country.

Can I get a rating that's not listed on your product page?

Yes — most capacities and voltage combinations within our stated ranges (10/11 kV class: oil-immersed 20–2500 kVA, dry-type 30–2500 kVA; 35 kV class: oil-immersed 50–20000 kVA) can be produced within a similar production time. Send us your spec and we'll confirm.

Do you supply components, such as transformer cores or windings, rather than complete units?

In some cases, yes, through our manufacturing network. This isn't our primary product line, so availability and pricing depend on the specific component and volume — email us your requirement and we'll confirm whether we can support it.

What's the warranty period for transformers and switchgear?

1 year, starting 30 days after the shipment date (those 30 days cover transit). The specific warranty terms are set out in the contract. If our engineer confirms an issue is a manufacturing defect that can't be corrected on site, and it's within this warranty period, we replace the unit at no cost. If the issue is due to factors outside the product itself — such as installation, operating conditions, or misuse — replacement would be a new paid order.
